Amber's Place
Amber's Place is a special part of my heart which holds the love of my daughter, Amber, who was killed in a car accident on July 2, 1999. It is the reflection of years of searching for answers to deal with her loss and my way of celebrating her life. Amber's Place is the healing of the soul of her family. A place with a heart big enough for you to find comfort in telling the story of your loss. A place to help heal hearts and to share love which is never lost to us. A business to sustain Amber's Memorial Fund and a new beginning for her family. A donation to Amber's Fund may be sent to the following address:      Amber Duncan Memorial Fund
                  2110 Northland Road
                  Baltimore, Maryland 21207
All donations are tax deductible. This May we will be giving our sixth scholarship to a graduating senior from Wetern High School in Catonsville.  Blessings!  Anne Liberto, Amber's Place

Menopause: Do We Have A Purpose Past Childbearing?
What is Menopause for? Menopause is transition.  In our first transition, we went from children to adults, potential carriers of new life.  In the second transition, we are poised to become women of vision and nurturers of society.  As we grow from adulthood to maturity, testosterone levels increase.  You newfound assertiveness may be attributed to this "masculine" hormone.  At the same time, access to inner vision opens.  LH and FSH, brain chemicals that regulate ovulation, correlate to increased intuition.  These brain hormones may be 1,000 times higher in post-menopausal women than in ovulating women.  Join us and find out more about Menopause, Women's Don Quai Tonic, Yoga Practice, and much more.

Strength Training for Women
One of the most important components of any fitness program, strength training, improves metabolism, decreases the risk of osteoporosis, creates tone and definition and helps prevent injuries.  Traditionally, fitness programs for women include lots of cardio and little strength training.  Contrary to popular belief, strength training does not create bulk.  If you are intimidated by strength training or want to learn more, come to this seminar!  We will go over how to use different resistance tools such as bands, dumbbells, machines, body weight, and water to build muscle and develop strength.
