A Menu of Love: Vegetarian Life Style

Don Robertson will share his story, with information, insights, and inspirations that led him to adopt a plant-centered diet, and to form the Baltimore chapter of EarthSave, an environmental nonprofit group that focuses on the powerful impact our food choices have on the planet, our health, and on the animals who are raised for food. But most of his speaking time will be interactive – with a look at some questions and concerns that folks have about a very personal aspect of their lives – what they eat. Hope you will be there!

Exiled - Within the Heart of America
I began writing Exiled to help me get through my traumatic experiences in the 1980 Liberian coup d'etat. Writing the book has helped me, and reading it has helped many others who can relate to my story.

Exiled, a historical fiction, is a love story blended with mystery, tragedy, triumph and intrigue. The characters come to life – their travel and experiences will touch your core. You will cry, laugh and have a better appreciation of being exiled within the heart of American society!

Yes! You Can Self-Publish Your Book!

Do you have a story of survival that could make a difference to others? An area of expertise you'd like to share with others? A book of poetry for that special audience? Have you gathered your family history? or have you written your church's history? the history of your neighborhood?

There are many worthy and necessary books that will never be picked up by a commercial publisher. Why? Because the author isn't already famous, doesn't have a mailing list of 10,000 people that the publisher can count on to sell lots of books. Commercial publishing is for some authors, self-publishing is for others.

Ann Hughes has over 30 years experience helping others self-publish their books. She runs Gateway Press in Baltimore, MD, and is well-known for working with people at all levels of technical expertise to produce a handsome, high-quality book. Come learn about some of today's choices. Learn from someone who has self-published her own book, too, and really knows the ropes.

Let the mystery that surrounds self-publishing drop away as you come to understand a process that begins with an idea and continues with writing, editing and formatting and printing. Learn about book size choices. Learn various ways your text can be prepared in final form. Learn different ways your book can be printed and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Don't miss this opportunity to set your goals and find support so you, too, can walk the path of self-publishing your book. It can all start today.

Life After Loss - The Grieving Process. Working through your feelings not around them.

Loss: An inevitable part of life. Loss can take many forms: death, birth, changes in health, careers. Because the mind isn’t really distinct from the body, psychological imagery might look like physiological imagery. Often, a core psychological issue for people who are grieving is their fear of the intense pain that grief carries and a belief that they won’t be able to stand it. People often engage in exhausting, frenetic activity, just to try and avoid the pain. But it doesn’t help, because it only wears them down and the feelings don’t go away anyway. This discussion will cover what people need to do to stop running and start feeling.

Your Body is THE Miracle!
Have you ever run out of gas and been stuck by the side of the road? When that happens, most of us will say that our car broke down, but, in reality, is that totally correct? What happens when proper fuel is added to the tank? Wow, all of a sudden the car is not broken any more! What would happen if water was put in the fuel tank instead of gasoline? Hmm…that would be a different story.

Our bodies are no different in that they also need proper fuel to function properly. In our world today, we are constantly assaulted by toxins from food, water and air…our food does not contain the nutrients that it used to…immune system function is decreasing with a resulting increase in diseases, both chronic and acute…the media is full of reports about possible pandemics, antibiotic-resistant bacteria and all kinds of other scary stuff. So, what can we do? How do we know what to choose?

The good news is that our bodies will respond with gratitude and even healing when we make simple – but thoughtful – changes in our lives. Eating naturally, drinking/bathing in enhanced/filtered water, and feeding our immune systems with vital nutrients provide a solid foundation and are a great start to optimal wellness.

Do you want to know more? Join me at the “Your Body is THE Miracle!” talk or stop by the Terra Enterprises, Inc. booth. I look forward to seeing you!
